*steps from behind the curtain and waves*
Oh hello, hey, wow it’s been a couple weeks since I last spoke to you. I would apologize, trust me I really would, but it has been one hell of a month. NaNoWriMo really kicked my butt. But now since it is almost over, I am going to TRY and go back to the regular blog scheduling program. TRY! OH and before we get started, I would like to say that this year I got the amazing opportunity to interview authors at the Miami Book Fair this year which I am so incredibly thankful for and that post will be coming to you soon! It’s a big one guys.
So since I did do NaNoWriMo this mont, I thought I would do a small post just talking about my experience with it since it was actually my first time doing this challenge.
I’m actually “extending” my workload till the end of December, because I’ve been working so hard on my project and I am actually still working hard on it and I just can’t imagine the idea of not finishing it. So maybe I’ll update you guys every week on how I’m doing? It can make me gain the confidence to just keep writing!
So my goal for NaNoWriMo was to write 25,000 of my novel since I actually am a pretty slow writer. My ultimate goal was just to improve my writing pace and procrastination and to write AT LEAST 700 words a day. Sometimes I didn’t even write, sometimes I wrote triple the amount of my least amount of words. it was all very random to me. But I did notice that I worked a lot harder on the weekday than I did on weekends, but I am pretty sure that statistic applies to everyone in the world. Anyways, I did end up writing about 27,000 words by the end of November so I did surpass my word count which is pretty damn cool to me. HIGHFIVE ME GUYS!
I’m sorry to say that I won’t be telling you guys the intimate details of my writing project but I’ll try and give you a little something for every post I do. Which I am not exactly how much that’ll be?
For today I’ll say that my GENRE is Urban Fantasy and it is LGBTQ+ so there’s that! I mean you’ve probably guessed that would be the genre I write in, cause it is my absolute favorite genre to read from but hey you never know, for all you know I could’ve wrote a vampire romance mystery murder novel. YOU NEVER KNOW WITH GABI PEOPLE!
Any who, I got to keep writing but I promise I will return back to my regular scheduled posts this month and I am really excited to be able to share my writing experience with you all!
