IT’S MY BABY’S THIRD BIRTHDAY!
MY BABY BLOG IS THREE YEARS OLD TODAY!
I cannot freaking believe it has been three years since my first ever book review. A horrible book review but it was my first. SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED in these three years that has seriously changed my life for the better. I have met some of my all time favorite authors, I got to connect with so many wonderful people, and create a circle of friends that are just as crazy as I am.
I just wanted to take a small post and write about this blog. It means the world to me. I give up on many things very easily, and just the thought that I’ve been doing this for the past three years is such a great accomplishment for me. And to be honest, I have you to thank. When I see that someone has read a review of mine or is reading a book that I recommended to them, my heart soars. I don’t think that without that motivation I would be doing this for so long.
My first blog post was absolutely horrendous. I was reading Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I decided to make a three sentence review on how much I loved it, and that is how this blog was born. It’s still here though. I like to torture myself by reading my past blog posts 🙂
Just to add on to this post, I thought I would tell you why I named my blog Reading In The Rain. Now when I first started to blog, I didn’t know about the whole world of book blogs there were. So being the uncreative genius I am, I named my blog BooksABlog (and yes it’s the same url). Then maybe a year later, a girl named Deanna was named my co-blogger. I loved having her as a co-blogger and I am so very thankful for her to this day. She has introduced to my now passions that include Broadway. I always was a Broadway fanatic but that gate didn’t really open until I met Deanna. I rediscovered all of my favorite Broadways songs and shows, and my favorite song was Singing In The Rain. It still is. Boom.
Anyways, I am just really thankful for all that has happened in these past three years and hopefully I will be doing this for many more to come.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY CHILD!
