Hello, fellow booknerdigans,
It’s been a fat minute since I’ve posted, but hey BLAME THE CONCEPT OF JUNIOR YEAR, not me. I want to reach out to all my writers for a quick second! Now fun fact about Gabi, she is a writer. *commence shocked exclamations, gasps, and faintings* OH MY GUH A GIRL WHO’S OBSESSED OVER READING…LIKES TO WRITE TOO?! shocker. No, no but in all seriousness, I got to an art school for creative writing and I love it so much. Like, love it to the moon and back. Maybe even to Pluto. But with the combination of junior year, SATs, thinking about college (yikesees), being creative is inevitably going to be a struggle, AND Y’ALL KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT. It’s funny though, whenever I really really can’t read and I need to focus, I’M EXCITED OVER EVERY SINGLE BOOK IN THE WORLD. Reader’s block? Nope, never heard of her. Yet when it’s Summer and I have all the time in the world to read, I usually end up writing. This past Summer, I actually started to write a freaking book and I was so beyond excited for it. I got maybe into about 15,000 words before I realized “I have school tomorrow.” and it’s been almost two months since school’s started. Word count: 15,127
No, but actually, there was a point where I had a blank mind and there was a poem due tomorrow. Guess what the poem was about.
And the Writer’s Block isn’t just for my creative school stuff, oh no no no. If it were just that, we would be doing Writer’s Block completely wrong! No, it also comes into play with my baby blog. Just look at the last time I posted. I’ve read about ten books in the past two months, and I’ve only done two reviews in the past two months. I’M TAKING PRE-CALC AND THE NUMBERS DO NOT ADD UP. I haven’t done a discussion in ages, and oh deary when was the last time I did a tag?
What do you guys think is worse, being in a Writer’s Block or Reader’s Block?
I personally think that Reader’s Block is worse. I may be biased because “I’m a reader before a writer” but in all honesty, I get out of Writer’s Block a lot *snaps fingers* faster than I do with Reader’s Block. And the only reason why that is is that I kinda have to. My grades depend on it!
Well anyways, I thought this would a fun discussion topic, and I want to hear your thoughts on the subject! But before I go, I want to say that THE MIAMI BOOK FAIR IS COMING REALLY REALLY SOON AND DURING THAT THERE WILL BE INTERVIEWS, BOOK REVIEWS GALORE, AND A GIVEAWAY! SOON MY PETS! I WILL BE ANNOUNCING TWO YOUNG ADULT AUTHORS THAT ARE MAKING AN APPEARANCE TO THIS BOOK FAIR EVERY SINGLE WEEK SO YEAH AWESOME!
FIRST POST IS TOMORROW GUYS AHHHHHH!
OKAY NOW I’M DONE.
