BOY! BOY AM I EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK! I flew through the first two books and they were both truly amazing. I haven’t made a review of these books JUST BECAUSE I read both of them in a span of three days and I couldn’t make a review of the first book since I read the first two. But if you haven’t read this series guys, GET ON IT!

Blacksouls (Blackhearts #2) by Nicole Castroman (April 11th, 2017)
Nicole Castroman brings the dangerous pirate ports of the Caribbean to life in this vibrant sequel to Blackhearts—the reimagined origin story of history’s most infamous pirate, Blackbeard.
Edward “Teach” Drummond is setting sail to the Caribbean as first mate on the most celebrated merchant ship in the British fleet—until he rebels against his captain. Mutiny is a capital offense and Teach knows it could cost him his life, but he believes it worth the risk in order to save his crew from the attacking Spanish ships.
Sailing on the same blue waters, Anne barely avoids the Spanish attack, making it safely to Nassau. But lawless criminals, corrupt politics, and dangerous intentions fill the crowded streets of this Caribbean port. Soon, Anne discovers that the man entrusted to keep the peace is quite possibly the most treacherous of them all—and he just happens to hold Teach’s fate in his terrifying hands.
Life and death hang in the balance when Teach and Anne are given a dangerous mission. It’s a mission that will test their love, loyalty and devotion, forcing them down a path neither one could have ever imagined.
I loved the first book in these series and I did in fact post a review of that book if you wanna check it out 😉 But I am so excited for what this sequel has in store. I can’t wait to see Teach again!!!
Flame in the Mist (Flame in the Mist #1) by Renee Ahdieh (May 16th, 2017)
The daughter of a prominent samurai, Mariko has long known her place—she may be an accomplished alchemist, whose cunning rivals that of her brother Kenshin, but because she is not a boy, her future has always been out of her hands. At just seventeen years old, Mariko is promised to Minamoto Raiden, the son of the emperor’s favorite consort—a political marriage that will elevate her family’s standing. But en route to the imperial city of Inako, Mariko narrowly escapes a bloody ambush by a dangerous gang of bandits known as the Black Clan, who she learns has been hired to kill her before she reaches the palace.
Dressed as a peasant boy, Mariko sets out to infiltrate the ranks of the Black Clan, determined to track down the person responsible for the target on her back. But she’s quickly captured and taken to the Black Clan’s secret hideout, where she meets their leader, the rebel ronin Takeda Ranmaru, and his second-in-command, his best friend Okami. Still believing her to be a boy, Ranmaru and Okami eventually warm to Mariko, impressed by her intellect and ingenuity. As Mariko gets closer to the Black Clan, she uncovers a dark history of secrets, of betrayal and murder, which will force her to question everything she’s ever known.
I love Renee Ahdieh. I love her The Wrath and The Dawn books and all I need in my life is this book. I am so freaking excited for what Renee has in store for us. The story sounds (in a lack for better words) SO FREAKING COOL!

In the face of unspeakable evil, Cassia must confront her own family’s complicated legacy on Eturia and decide once and for all who her real family is.
5 DAYS! 5 DAYS! 5 FREAKING DAYS UNTIL I GET THIS BOOK IN MY SMALL LITTLE HANDS! Starflight was an amazing read and honestly think that Starlight will live up to it’s sister.
Before She Ignites (Fallen Isles Trilogy #1) by Jodi Meadows
New fantasy trilogy about a girl stripped from her political family and imprisoned, her fellow inmates who know more than they say, and a dangerous secret about illegal dragon trafficking that might be her only hope of escape
Jodi is one of my favorite people in the entire book community SO YOU KNOW that I am very excited for this series. And…DRAGONS?! Sounds freaking supercalifragilisticespialadoicious!
These Ruthless Deeds (These Vicious Masks #2) by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas (March 14th, 2017)
England, 1883. Still recovering from a devastating loss, Evelyn is determined to use her powers to save other gifted people from those who would harm them. But when her rescue of a young telekinetic girl goes terribly wrong, Evelyn finds herself indebted to a secret society devoted to recruiting and protecting people like Evelyn and her friends.
As she follows the Society’s orders, healing the sick and embarking on perilous recruitment missions, Evelyn sees her problems disappear. Her reputation is repaired, her friends are provided for, and her parents are newly wealthy. She reunites with the dashing Mr. Kent and recovers the reclusive Mr. Braddock (who has much less to brood over now that the Society can help him to control his dangerous power). But Evelyn can’t help fearing the Society is more sinister than it appears…
These Vicious Masks was one of my favorite reads of 2016 and ever since I closed that book all I’ve been wanting is a sequel for that beauty, and now in a month I’ll finally be able to do just that.
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon (May 30th, 2017)
A laugh-out-loud, heartfelt YA romantic comedy, told in alternating perspectives, about two Indian-American teens whose parents have arranged for them to be married.
Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?
Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.
The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?
Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.
Can this book look any more perfect? Honestly?
AND that is literally a smidge of all the books I am excited for! These are just the ones that came from the top of my head. What are your most anticipated releases of 2017?
